Invisible Traverse City meets 10am on the first Sunday of every month except July.  We meet at The Workshop Brewery, 221 Garland St. Traverse City.

Indivisible Traverse City is a progressive, issue-oriented group of political and social activists. We are all volunteers who deeply care for people and the bodies of government formed to serve people. We care for women and men of all races, religions and ages, regardless of sexual orientation or economic status. We care for our children, our children’s children, and all future generations and resolve to leave them with a better world than the one we inherited.

The purpose of our group is threefold:

  1. To resist any political agenda that is racist, authoritarian, or corrupt.
  2. To focus on advocacy and action: We advocate for progressive principles and we seek to identify and support political candidates at local, state, and federal levels who are dedicated to enacting a progressive agenda;
  3. To embrace progressive values. We model inclusion, respect, and fairness in all of our actions.

We are linked to the national Indivisible movement started by former Congressional staffers who authored a guide ( of best practices for influencing Congressional actions.

We look to their recommended tactics and to the leaders of national Indivisible to focus on specific actions. We partner with other social justice, environmental justice and progressive political action groups (See links).
